The Victorian Fair is Melrose’s annual street fair. Our team prepared an interactive booth, allowing us to interact with hundreds of Melrose residents as well as folks from surrounding communities. Not only did we hand out snacks adorned with campaign stickers, we also had activities in the booth to learn more about resident’s policy priorities, and had white boards folks could fill out with messages to take selfies and pics with Manisha. There were three choices of white boards – “My hope for Melrose is…”, “I love Melrose because…”, and “I support Manisha for Melrose because…”, which allowed me to get on-the-spot endorsements from those ready to commit to voting for me, while also providing a fun ice breaker activity for anyone else who wanted to take a picture. We also offered face painting, always keeping family-friendliness in mind.
