On October 20, 2018, I co-facilitated a workshop with Gabrielle Sims, Marilyn Sanchez, and Shirronda Almeida called “From Awake to Woke: Starting Race Talk” at the MACDC Convention in Boston as part of my role on the Mel King Institute for Community Building’s Alliance for Racial Equity Steering Committee. The room was packed and we got a lot of requests from participants to bring this workshop to their organizations.

My presentation, “The Planners’ Polaris: Five Factors that Direct Development” was part of a May 7, 2013 panel at the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) Conference Session called “Getting the Development You Want: Reaching Revitalization Goals in Different Markets.”
“Tailoring Civic Engagement Methods in a Changing World: A Hands-On Workshop” was a dynamic session at the 2012 Southern New England American Planning Association (SNEAPA) Conference in Hartford, Connecticut. I designed this PowerPoint presentation in addition to having a speaking role. This panel worked well as a team and put hours into ensuring that the workshop was fun, inspiring, and informative.
